RZ's journey began in a small town in southern China, where he left home at 17 to attend college hundreds of miles away in Wuhan. His pursuit of the American dream led him to Texas, where he earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology at Texas A&M. RZ's story is a testament to his unwavering commitment, no matter how challenging the task.
It was in Texas that RZ experienced first-hand how complex and impactful the law can be in one’s life and was inspired to pursue a legal career. RZ attended The University of Michigan Law School with a scholarship.
After obtaining his law degree, RZ worked in the biotech industry for almost a decade and gained extensive experience in administrative compliance. As an attorney, RZ worked for firms in Michigan, Texas, and Utah, where he helped his clients—individuals, small businesses, and corporations—secure and protect their assets and vigorously defend their rights in various litigation. RZ is admitted to practice law in the States of New York, Texas, and Utah, and the USPTO.
RZ founded LegalRise in 2024 and brings his experience and dedication to serving clients.
Outside of work, RZ finds joy in skiing, hiking, and camping with his family in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains. He also has a passion for tinkering with cars and motorcycles. RZ is a native Mandarin Chinese speaker.

Originally hailing from Colorado, Jasmine Martinez has a rich history of entrepreneurship and community engagement. She owned and managed several successful businesses in Colorado, demonstrating her expertise and dedication to business management.

Jasmine’s passion for the law began at a young age, and she has always been a staunch advocate for those around her. She moved to Utah in 2019 to further her education, attending Weber State College, where she graduated as a Paralegal. Additionally, Jasmine holds a certificate in Business Management from Mesa State, further solidifying her credentials in the business realm.
Professional Experience:
Jasmine’s extensive career in management and communication is complemented by her legal experience. In Colorado, she worked as an intern for many years as a Legal Secretary while simultaneously running her businesses. This unique blend of legal and business acumen makes her an invaluable asset in any professional setting.
Community Involvement:
Throughout her career, Jasmine has been actively involved in her community. Her love for the outdoors and her fluency in Spanish have allowed her to connect with diverse groups, enhancing her community outreach efforts. She is also a Notary for the state of Utah, further extending her service capabilities.
